AquaSys® 120 is a water-soluble support material for 3D printing, designed for FFF and direct extrusion workflows to enable complex geometry and easier post-processing.
Water-soluble supports are used to print complex overhangs, internal channels, and intricate features, then dissolve away in water to reduce manual removal and surface damage.
In comparative testing, AquaSys® 120 dissolved about 2× faster than a leading PVA at room temperature (22°C) and over 6× faster at elevated temperature (80°C).
For faster dissolution, use warm water (typically 70–80°C) with agitation or circulation.
Yes. AquaSys® 120 is designed to dissolve in tap water without requiring solvents.
AquaSys® 120 is positioned as compatible with a wide range of engineering thermoplastics, including PETG, CPE, ABS, Nylon, PC, PC/ABS, TPU, PP, and other filled materials.
A common starting range is 235–245°C nozzle temperature. Build plate guidance is up to 120°C, and it is noted for stability in higher-temperature printer environments.
Use warmer water, agitation/circulation, and refresh the water periodically to maintain dissolution speed.
If stored properly and kept dry, it typically doesn’t require special handling. If moisture is present, drying guidance is provided around 70–80°C (e.g., 70°C for 3–4 hours).
AquaSys® 120 is available as pellets and filament (including 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm).
Store in a sealed bag or container with desiccant to minimize moisture pickup and maintain print consistency.
