Helping innovators incubate
Development Services
Interfacial’s Development Services Division develops proprietary products and helps innovators incubate and launch advanced materials and manufacturing process technologies. We provide a proven idea-to-production model—supporting concept development, prototyping, validation, and scale-up for both customers and internal technology platforms.
Based in Prescott, Wisconsin, our team operates from the 40,000 sq. ft. Cervenka Center with state-of-the-art process and wet lab capabilities and experienced chemists, engineers, operators, technicians, and business development experts to execute programs from concept through launch.
What is the Development Services division?
Interfacial’s Development Services Division takes advanced materials and manufacturing-process technologies from idea to production — concept, prototyping, validation, and scale-up — from a 40,000 sq ft facility in Prescott, Wisconsin, for both external customers and Interfacial’s own internal platforms. The division developed the company’s commercial liquid-dispersion masterbatch technology and pioneered methods on the continuous-double-belt-press substrate platform.
What We Deliver
Services
Interfacial’s Development Services Division provides turnkey incubation support from early concept through development, validation, and launch. We de-risk each program at every stage of the Interfacial Incubation Process, helping customers deploy capital efficiently and maximize return on investment (ROI).
Frequently Asked Questions
It is used by companies that have a material or process challenge but lack the in-house science or pilot-to-scale manufacturing to commercialize it — from custom polymer compounds and novel masterbatches to entirely new advanced-material platforms. It suits startups and established manufacturers who need a partner that can both formulate and manufacture, turning a prototype into a real, manufacturable product at scale.
Development Services follows a staged model that de-risks new materials before commercial investment: concept development to define requirements, prototyping to produce early material, validation to confirm performance against the target application, and scale-up to commercial production. The same materials-science team and pilot-to-production assets carry a project through each stage, so a formulation proven at lab scale moves onto commercial equipment without re-qualifying a new partner. The model supports both external clients bringing a challenge “at any stage” and Interfacial’s own internal platforms.
